Live, Laugh & Love with Michelle Bartlett

2014 was a challenge particularly my roll as a parent, feeling the ’empty nest syndrome’, as many of us do. How many of us feel this way when our kids grow up? My job and business role also came to an end in the same year, this left me with time to create a new path. After feeling sorry for myself with little purpose, I knew I had to refocus my energy, reaching out to women I admire and trust, plus build a business I believed in. Women generally put themselves last on their list and feel underappreciated and exhausted with life. They need to find time for themselves. After 24 years of self employment, I was not going to enter into a 9-5 employed job easily, over that period of time I learnt so much and developed who I am today. In that period, for 15 years I ran my own craft business, with a busy UK mail order catalogue, which took me on regular TV shows like QVC and Ideal World, teaching was still to this day my favourite part, encouraging so many people to find their inner creative self. In latter years, with weight gain and baby tummy after the birth of my 3rd daughter, I went on to become a weight plan consultant with over 700 clients in 8 years. Whilst busy with weight loss, I also enjoyed being an events organiser, networker, social butterfly and mother, known as a strong, bubbly and happy person generally ‘always falling on her feet’ little did people realise how low I actually felt!Drawing on my past experiences and personal contacts from previous businesses I believed the a Ladies Club would be a good idea. Whilst sitting in my kitchen one day, with no business to take care of, I looked at my wall plaque (see below) …’Live Laugh Love’ and it rolled off the tongue…Live Laugh Love Ladies Club! That was it where do ladies go for a night out? Where do ladies of all generations mix? Where can ladies go safely or belong? I knew it had to be a combo of the above to move forward with the idea of ladies social groups.Women love to talk and share stories, so here grew my new small business opportunity.2014 was a challenge particularly my roll as a parent, feeling the ’empty nest syndrome’, as many of us do.
